Roman Abramovich FLIES To Spain PERSONALLY To Talk To Diego Simeone Ahead Of Summer Move

Diego Simeone

If reports by daily mirror is anything to go by, then it is only a matter of time before Chelsea appoints a permanent manager. For according to Mirror, Roman Abramovich have made up his mind to bring Diego Simeone to the Stamford bridge next summer to replace interim manager Guus Hiddink.

According to reports, Roman Abramovich has taken it upon himself to hold talks with Diego Simeone in a bid to convince him to join  Chelsea in the summer.

The Buenos-Aires-born tactician has always has shown in his time with Atletico Madrid that he is capable of managing a big side and should Abramovich be able to convince him to join Chelsea, it will cause a massive buzz in the fanbase.

Simeone was always a torn in the flesh of Jose Mourinho when Mourinho was still manager of Real Madrid and with little financial support from Atletico Madrid owners, he has been able to stand side by side with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona who are the big guns.

The Argentine has also been linked to Manchester United but considering Chelsea’s long term interest in him ( having been linked to the blues before Abramovich decided to sign Mourinho ), I think the blues have a better chance of getting him.
