Marko Marin chooses Chelsea over Tottenham

The Blues managed to mark the beginning of their transfer season with an impressive signing as they have announced the signing of German international Marko Marin.

A Chelsea statement read: “The Club have today agreed to sign Marko Marin from Werder Bremen.

“Both clubs have agreed a fee and the 23-year-old midfielder has agreed personal terms.

“Marin, a German international, will join Chelsea in the summer.”

The German didn’t remain emotionless, and stated his absolute delight for being able to join a club as big as Chelsea, saying that for him personally the Blues are “a dream club”

“Chelsea is my dream club,” Marin told Sport-Bild.

“I’m happy that I get the chance to play for them. It is a challenge for me.

“Tottenham Hotspur were also interested, but I opted for Chelsea, because they suit me well.”

With the Blues now in the Champions League final and with a new addition to the squad, things seem to have picked up a lot since Villas-Boas left the team which was then looking like a ruin frankly speaking. Even though this is mostly due to Di Matteo, who will be the manager next season is still unknown and the fact that Guardiola left Barcelona doesn’t help Di Matteo’s case.

I wish Di Mateo will be given a chance to head the club next season. Because he has prospects the way he select his line up, subs he is marvelous. Marin’s choice is good we pray our club grows more bigger next season. Congrats to Chelsea community round the globe for reaching FA cup finals, and above all beating FIFA/UEFA most favoured club and securing a UCL finals at Munich God will see us through. Amen
