Chelsea News – Big Money Bid To Be Made For £28m World Cup Star

If you believe reports in the English press today, ambitious German side Wolfsburg are readying a bid that will enable them complete the signing of former Chelsea star Romelu Lukaku once the summer transfer window is declared open.

The German bundesliga side who are overachieving in Germany this season are currently second on the table and almost certain to feature in the champions league next season. According to reports, the Germans are keen on making an impact in Europe’s premier club competition next season and have earmarked several big names as transfer targets for the summer one of them being Romelu Lukaku.

According to the express, Wolfsburg feels encouraged that the former Chelsea striker only recently changed agents in order to further his declining football career. The player only recently signed up with Mino Raiola who also has Liverpool and Italy star Mario Balotelli in his clientele.

The super agent has reportedly been working round the club to find a new club for Lukaku who only last summer left Chelsea for Everton in a deal reportedly worth £28million.

It is believed that the Germans will put in a bid that is above the £28million Everton reportedly paid for the Belgian last summer and hope it will be good enough to convince Everton to sell the striker.
